MARIA PEARSON
Maria’s work is a thoughtful pause. She collects and recycles materials that are close to hand, making the decision to reject perfection. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, she embraces the imperfect. Working in a playful and spontaneous manner, her work grows from moments of thoughtful fiddling; existing as evidence of the process, assemblages awaiting new fragments; always in a state of flux.
