Chloe Glover is a multi-disciplinary artist, working primarily with sculptural, performative and filmic works. She conceptualises the monstrosity of the Abject, using it as feminist strategy, in order to challenge conventional representations of the feminine. Exploring the Abjected states of womanhood. As a female artist, Chloe explores sexuality, functions and conditioning, while challenging oppression, misrepresentation and the ‘ideal’.

 

Witnessing her more recent works, combatting the oscillation women experience due to social expectations and conditioning to conform through sexuality. This is characterised through the maternal women or virgin girl shown on a seesaw of mental wellbeing.
